Precautions for the use of silicon carbide crucible

1. Please keep it in a place with low temperature. (the wet crucible is heated rapidly, it is easy to cause the surface of the crucible to peel off)

2. The crucible is fragile, please handle it carefully.

3. Since the crucible is made of graphite, please use a base of the same material on the bottom diameter.

4. When installing, the crucible should be level with the base of the crucible, and the crucible should be placed in the middle of the heating furnace.

5. Do not place the metal ingots too densely or too full, and leave some gaps. (Expansion after heating can easily damage the crucible)

6. The uneven temperature in the furnace is the cause of cracks and breakage in the crucible.

7. Do not heat the flame of the burner directly against the crucible. And please use a crucible base with a certain height. Otherwise, it is easy to cause the crucible to peel off, to damage the bottom, and to oxidize.

8. Mechanical damage (when adding metal ingots, handle with care and try to avoid impact on the inside of the crucible)

9. If the spout crucible is installed improperly, it is easy to cause the crucible to be damaged from the side. (Appropriate gap should be left in the mouth)

10. When smelting, please use oxidizing flame, reducing flame is the cause of surface oxidation

11. The slag remover contains harmful substances that can corrode the crucible, please do not use excessively.

12. The slag remover will affect and corrode the slag line.

13. The remaining liquid and attached oxides are the causes of damage to the bottom, sides, and straight lines.

14. Electric furnaces that use nickel-chromium alloy heating wires, and there are no heating wires up to the top of the crucible. Otherwise, it will cause oxidation of the upper part of the crucible.
